Haoran’s research aims to find resilience and promotive factors that help LGBTQ+ youth recover from adverse experiences and facilitate their development. To this end, he focuses on examining how protective and supportive family and school socialization processes can benefit the psychosocial well-being of LGBTQ+ youth. He’s also interested in exploring the associations among intersections of LGBTQ+ youth’s multiple social positions, their exposure to risks and adversities, and developmental outcomes.
