This three-year project was focused on documenting sexual orientation-related disparities in heavy alcohol use during adolescence and young adulthood, as well as the family and school factors that contribute to these disparities. The goal was to identify modifiable risk and protective factors with a specific focus on assessing differences across gender, sexual identity, and race/ethnicity. Ultimately, researchers aimed to inform prevention and intervention efforts focused on reducing LGBQ youth alcohol use.
