“BeYOU: Young, Outspoken, Unbreakable” is a school-based group counseling curriculum that supports the social emotional well being of middle school and high school students who are vulnerable to minority stress, including LGBTQ+ youth and allies. The curriculum combines best practices in LGBT-affirming counseling with developmentally appropriate techniques to maximize cohesion in youth groups.

During a pilot of this program during the 2017 – 2018 school year, Be YOU increased emotional regulation and decreased rumination (dwelling on negative thoughts) for students who participated in the intervention.
